Grateful

I am grateful for my life and the people that God has allowed in it. I realize with the Christmas season coming up that so many of us are going through a financial bind. I for one was very depressed because it seems as though that I did not have enough money to buy all that I wanted to buy for my loved ones. Well, I had an epiphany one day and then a  sermon from Sunday made me realize that it is NOT about gifts.  This is the way of the world and I don't want that mentality to stand in the way of my christian living anymore!! Now, don't get me wrong, I can go and buy all sorts of gifts, skip paying my bills and end in more debt than I already am; but that is not what God wants us to do.  A coworker of mine's told me that she and here family are crocheting gifts and I thought that was a very nice, inexpensive and personal gesture. I have stressed enough about money and the shortness thereof and have decided that I can not change the world, I can not do it all by myself and I can only be who God wants me to be!! A better me is what I am striving for and that does not cost a thing!! Happy Holidays and do not forget the real meaning of Christmas!!!
